Laminate flooring has been around since the 1970s, but began to really get popular in the 1990s. Nowadays laminate floors are the best they’ve ever been and not only extremely tough and hard-wearing but very authentic with some impressive wood effect designs and also textures with a real wood-like feel. Another added bonus with modern laminate floors is that lots of the ranges now come with a waterproof surface.
