The main 2 designs are normally intended to replicate either wood planks or ceramic tiles. Like lots of things, the quality of vinyl flooring has improved over the years looking more and more authentic. Alternatively, there are some more plain designs to choose from if you’re after a ‘fuss-free’ look.
Lots of people still use the term ‘Lino’ or Linoleum, but this is made from a different composition.
When installing vinyl flooring, the sub-floor (or the floor it is to be laid on) must be smooth with no irregularities as these will show through the new vinyl giving an uneven appearance.
