Flooring has a massive impact on the interior of any home. While good flooring is functional, it also sets the tone for the whole house. The material, colours, styles and texture of the flooring you choose all play in a role in what the room is used for. It also plays a role in the impressions guests make of you and your home. The flooring you choose will impact the final interior design of your home. Here are two of our favourite 2024 flooring trends that we love and think you will too.

Natural and Light Wood Tones

Natural and light wood tones have been popular for years now. This popularity also doesn’t seem to be going any time soon. Natural and light-coloured flooring helps a room look bigger, brighter and more spacious. While engineered wood flooring can be expensive and quite high maintenance, LVT flooring can get that look and feel for a more affordable price. Hardwood flooring will always be on trend. However, flooring manufacturers know this. This is why they have created some stunning laminate flooring and LVT that look realistic and are a lot easier to maintain.

Patterns

Patterns are huge in both hard flooring and carpets, and are leading the way in 2024 flooring trends. They don’t need to be colourful patterns, but choosing a Victorian tile or herringbone design could just be the pattern you’re looking for to make the room look a little more interesting.

Laminate, Vinyl and LVT flooring are available in a herringbone pattern which will create a truly eye-catching design that adds depth and interest to any room. Smaller rooms in your home can be made to look larger, with the right pattern laid out in the right way. Ask our showroom assistants for examples of other work we have done to help the inspiration flow.
